Lazy days and Montellier!

The last two days at the campsite were spent swimming, having one meal
at the nice restaurant in Le Rozier. Shall never forget the
waitress's face when I asked for a side order of two extra portions of
chips for us to share.....
luckily I had remembered that our train on the 20 th was very early
and we needed to stay overnight in Monpellier. So we packed up on
19th and cycled to Millau, caught the 1415 bus to Montpellier, and
managed to find the youth Hostel. Jasper's eyes popping out at the
number of statuesque young german and norwegian young ladies in
residence!
Montpellier is a lovely city, and we had a walk around.....
Train at 0719 tomorrow (20th). We have our bikes ready for quick
unpacking so we can cycle across Paris, rather than be ripped off by
the taxis!

Le Rozier- St Enimie circuit

This one was a real challenge. around 50 miles with about a kilometre
of climbing in total. but well worth it. as usual spectacular
scenery like nowhere else!
The old village of st Enemie is very quaint...photos to follow! Toby
managed the climbing with typical aplomb..
On the flat bit at the top, we met some extras for a period television drama being filmed thereabouts.
As usual Jasper went
to the top and met us half way up, wondering if we had fallen off a
cliff or something! (quite possible in fqct!)  the descent back into Le Rozier was a bit hairy I
have to say. sheer drops , steep (10 %+) grades and a notable dearth
of barriers!
